TBC Utility Module - Introduction

The Trimble Business Center Utilities module provides comprehensive tools for utility modeling and trenching. The user interface is designed for a streamlined workflow, moving from data import to creation and export. Users can import various file types, such as PDF, DMG, and XML, to begin utility network layout. The Material Site Improvement Manager allows for the organization of utility parts, like sanitary sewer and water services, into categories. Users can define structures, such as manholes and pipes, and create utility networks composed of multiple runs. The module supports converting existing linestrings into utility network lines and offers editing capabilities for utility runs. Trenching functionality involves defining trench templates, setting parameters, and applying them along utility runs. Users can manage backfill, side slopes, and depth zones, adjusting costs accordingly. Once utilities and trenches are laid out, reports can be generated, and data can be exported in various formats, including CAD and SES 900, for field use.
