Cisco’s, an iconic East Austin breakfast & lunch spot, is steeped in Texas politics and Tex Mex (featuring their legendary migas breakfast plate).

Breakfast and lunch all day including classic breakfasts, the “Wolf Omelette”, fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, carne guisada and a killer chicken friend steak. Cisco’s has operated in the 102-year-old building on the corner of East Sixth and Comal since Rudy Cisneros opened the restaurant in 1943, after turning his father’s bakery into a restaurant.

Cisco’s has long been the meeting place for Austin’s politically inclined. LBJ and Bob Bullock were known to regularly hold court over coffee and breakfast here. Matt Cisneros, Rudy “Cisco” Cisneros’ grandson continues the Cisco’s tradition, preserving great eastside breakfasts and an iconic East Austin institution.
