How to get a new water connection

Getting a new water connection is easier than you think. If you’re planning on having a water connection in the next 12 months, please get in touch and one of our dedicated case managers will help explain the process of what you need to do.

When you apply for a water connection we will need to gather some information about your project. If you want a formal quote, we may arrange a site survey to fully understand your project and requirements, including what traffic management may be required. Once we’ve visited your site to fully understand your project, we’ll be able to provide you with an accurate quote.

After you accept the quote, you can complete the work on your site. We have a team of inspectors who will give you a call and arrange to visit your site to give you some free expert advice on laying your pipework to help make sure it all runs smoothly.

When complete we can offer a physical inspection or remote inspection via video call of your finished work and our case manager will confirm the final connection date with you. Our team will come and make your water connection.

This is normally done over three steps:

1. Excavation and connection
2. Replacement of ground materials
3. Reinstatement

Once your connection is made, you’ll then have access to safe, high quality water.
