Today’s challenge is all about stress reduction. Why? Because stress amps up ⬆️ your nervous system, which makes your body clench and tighten up, especially your pelvic floor. 😣

Many pelvic floor issues are due to tightness! Tight muscles are not strong muscles; tight muscles are weak, and they don’t work well. In today’s physical challenge, you’ll relax first, and then strengthen. This brings together the mind & body. You’ll calm the mind to relax your body. From that calm and relaxed state, you’ll activate your pelvic floor.

Today’s mindset challenge is essential for stress management. Your body can’t heal if your nervous system is fried. We are WAY TOO CONNECTED and OVERSTIMULATED these days!!! That’s why the Day 1 challenge is a digital detox. Are the things you’re looking at online actually giving you pleasure and making you feel healthier? Or are they subtly making you cringe, making you sad or angry, making you compare your life to someone else who “has it better,” or making you feel like there are a billion more things you should be doing?

If the content you’re consuming causes you to compare yourself, judge yourself, or belittle yourself in any way – even if that’s MY CHANNEL – then you need to let it go. Unfollow or unsubscribe.

How to know if you need to unfollow? Don’t think about it in your mind… instead, tune into the sensations in your body. If you look at someone’s content online and any part of your body starts to feel closed off, or contracted, tense or painful, or if you find yourself holding your breath, or if you feel anxious feelings in your chest or belly, or even numbness, then that is your sign. Mute their content or unfollow them altogether.

And… Don’t replace content by following someone else. The goal is to help you find more time for peace and silence in your day. This is called white space. Silence is golden, but often silence feels uncomfortable for people! Cut down on the external stimulation slowly. Begin by cutting out the things that are literally making you sick. Keep the things that fill you up and bring you joy. Slowly, you’ll be able to incorporate more silence into your day. But you must BEGIN by eliminating the things that are subtly exhausting you and overwhelming you.
