Yarka as a brand name is confusing, as it is used by multiple companies in reference of the city. These "Yarka" are the PRO grade paints, not their kids / student grade line. These are just re-labeled White Nights paints. Both full pan paint sets both have "St Petersburg" in their Amazon title, but one does not have the "White Nights" Russian title and is made for USA distribution through the Jack Richeson company. I was sad to discover my first set I bought a few years ago, the Yarka version, had overall more UV sun exposure issues due to fugitive pigments. This is because they picked some of the worst colors available from the White Nights line to include in this box. As shown in the color chart images towards the middle of the video. Be aware that all lightfast results listed as Yarka apply to the White Nights line, since you can buy those colors individually outside of the 36 sets as White Nights brand. LIGHTFAST TESTING INFO: All tests are done in a careful controlled manner to avoid secondary causes of color changes such as being wet or hot. My control color strip is put away in a room temperature drawer hidden from light, while the fade test strip is placed behind a condensation-free glass window facing north. This provides general daylight UV without the heat of direct sunlight. This should give a comparable time estimate for how quick artwork would fade on a wall in a room that receives general window lighting (not beams of direct light). Because I do my tests the same way for all supplies used, it can be really useful to compare these lengths of time in fading results between brands. (I'm able to determine which company's specific color fades abnormally fast compared to a different company's paint.) Fugitive colors fade in as little as several weeks up to several months of daily light exposure, while lightfast colors remain stable past the 1 year mark. This is especially good to know if you will be selling your artwork, displaying it in an office or a gallery that may have many glass windows. More info at https://www.kimcrick.com/pages/lightf...
