Inspector Morley Late of Scotland Yard, "The Case of the Scarlet Letters", Ep 3, Tod Slaughter, F442

Another episode of Inspector Morely, Late of Scotland Yard. This is the "Case of the Scarlet Letters", which I believe is episode 3 in this series. I think this is a lost episode, in the sense that it has not been seen generally in this form for a very very long time, but was part of a feature film entitled "King of the Underworld" (thanks to Jean-Claude Michel for this info). This stars Tod Slaughter and Patrick Barr, and dates to 1953. In this episode, Tod is not just phoning it in, he has a lot of screen time, and uses this well. Patrick Barr gives his usual professional thing. And it is great to see so much of these two skilled actors together.

Apologies for the sound, I think most of the hiss, is due to the fact that I ran the projector with a set of valves that included some that were way past their sell by date!
