Thank you for watching our Acura MDX side view mirror replacement video. Removing and installing your MDX mirror can be pretty easy to do with just a few basic tools. Tacking this DIY job yourself can possibly save you some money and time. Not to mention, driving without a side-view mirror can be dangerous and in some states, illegal. TOOLS:
You will need a Philips screwdriver and wrench or socket wrench with a 10mm socket.

PROCESS:
The process for replacing a side view mirror is pretty standard across most vehicles. What you want to do is get to the nuts or bolts that secure the mirror to the door. With some vehicles, you have to remove the door panel and this is one of them. Every door panel is held on with a few screws, normally hidden behind the door handle and armrest. This Acura MDX is no different, once you get those out, you can pull the door panel of the door shell. The panel is held on by plastic clips and can be pulled out with a little force. Be careful not to use too much force so as to not break the door panel. Check for screws everywhere. Now is the time to disconnect the mirror from the door and electric cable. Remove all the nuts and detach the cable from the mirror for removal. Now that mirror is off, you can now install your new Revemoto painted mirror! You are going to just work backward, it's super easy to do. When you install the mirror, make sure it has a foam or rubber grommet for the base. This will stop water and road noise from getting into the cabin. Be sure not to double stack them, because the original and new mirror will have one each. Once the mirror is installed, check the function of the mirror before installing the door panel. You want to be sure that the new mirror's signal and power glasswork. Now that your mirror is installed, go and drive safe!
