Fluid Art Comb Wrecked Ring Pour Acrylic Pouring Abstract Art

Hello Friends!
This video is a bit different.. its the story of making mistakes and trying to overcome them...sometimes done well and sometimes not. I debated showing this pour at all.. because it took a long time to edit the video and in the end I like what happened but I see so many things I wish I had done differently, its actually hard for me to watch. In the interest of Transparency, and to show you guys that not everything works perfectly right off the bat, I decided to share it with you. Hopefully the message of "It doesnt matter how many times you fall down, it matters how many times you get back up" will come thru. Thanks for hanging in there till the end..

My original thought was to do two ring pours and then Comb Wreck them, using the longer 24x30 in canvas to create some cool effects with the comb.

It was going well until the end of the ring pour, when I lifted my cup away and the edge of it dragged thru the paint and left a cute little swish in the paint. Of course, that little mistake got bigger and bigger as I stretched and tilted... and started bothering me more and more. I tried to fix it, then I tried to fix that and it got worse. I decide to pour it again. I go thru the whole process of layering my cup, pouring, comb wrecking, and tilting it all over again.. and at the end when I say goodbye Im still not happy with it. HoA has always been supportive of Pour Till Your Happy, and told me if I didnt like it to either fix it of scrape it off.. so I come back and do it all again. Like I said, this is a LONG video... we were both very tired at the end.. and then it took a few days of editing. I know this is not everyones cup of tea... but for those who just want to see me pour and how I sometimes try to save things, this is the video for you!

I want to end by saying that even after watching this over again, Im glad that I poured it again. I know myself and would have either messed with it in my studio or let it dry and then been very upset. So, while there are a lot of things I would love to change about this pour, ultimately I still think you should pour it until you are happy with it. Why keep something you dont like?

At the very end of it, my Husband said he saw a Tiger..specifically a Tigers eye and part of its face. (This may have been because we've just watched "Tiger King" on Netflix. VERY interesting show lol😳 but maybe not really suitable for kids though. When I say 'interesting' I mean fascinating but kind of like a Train Wreck, where you want to look away but cant..) so that may be where his seeing the Tiger came from. After he said that, all I could see was this beautiful purple Tiger.

Please dont keep Big Cats as personal pets.. they are wonderful but they belong in their natural habitat. Think about adopting a kitten or a older cat instead 🐾 (this message brought to you courtesy of Zen). 😻
