Green Peace ☮ Gorgeous 30x40 Fantasy Pour exploring Golden's Green Gold

Hello Friends!

Today I'm playing with a new color for me, Golden's Green Gold. I paired it with darker Green and Payne's Gray and some Light Apricot and Gold.. such an interesting color!

When I was mixing it with my pouring medium it was one color, then when I added the Floetrol it shifted to a different color, and then I wanted to lighten it up a bit so added a bit of Satin Enamels White and it changed again.. very interesting!

My colors are:
Golden's
~Green Gold
~Payne's Gray

Arteza
~Deep Green
~Light Apricot

DecoArt Americana Decor
~24K Gold
~Satin Enamels Pure White (mixed with Artist Loft White)

My pouring medium is:
~Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish
~Water as needed
~Floetrol

I played with the end of my pouring cup, doing that 'ribbon candy' design in the middle again. I like how that works on top of a dark background! Theres one section that reminds me of Calla Lillies, so pretty and soft!
In another one of the pours that 'ribbon candy' part at the end of the cup turned into a beautiful tree. I am definitely going to explore this more! Very pretty effects, I just dont like it to be too busy.

I learned a lot with this painting, about how the Green Gold blends.. it mixed a lot with the Light Apricot and with the White.. but I love the contrast against the Deep Green and the Payne's.. delicious!

I hope you guys enjoyed this one! I encourage you to step outside of your color comfort zone and explore a new color, one at a time. Pick one and then use it with your other favorite tried and true paints, ones that you know how they behave. This is one of the most fun parts of painting for me, discovering how new colors play together.

I've seen other artists use the Green Gold, especially my friend Heather Mader. She uses it beautifully and it creates gorgeous depth and shadows that were really intriguing to me and made me want to play with it..
