The second set of selections from the new hymnal of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is now available! Amazing Grace is definitely the headliner here. This beloved hymn was included in the 1841 hymnal, and we rejoice in its return to our Sunday services.

This setting is notable for its tenor and bass parts, which move more than in many arrangements. It also has a lovely 4-3/9-8 suspension in the alto and tenor parts halfway through the verse.

The introduction is longer than I typically play in church meetings, but we'll see how things go in real time!
