My first trip to the Philippines (Experiences & What to Expect!)

In this video I go over some of my most notable experiences from my first visit to the Philippines. In 2014 after a year of dating my then girlfriend Ange. In this trip I decided to go to the Philippines to meet her family and go to the places where my now wife grew up. Overall I had a great time but I was not prepared for the local experience. I created this video to assist other western men who are planning to visit the Philippines to visit their partners family.

Key points

1. It is hot, humidity kills you! - Get used to the weather, don’t stay in the air conditioning too much.
2. Hard to communicate - its hard for people there to try to speak English, learn some Tagalog before going to the Philippines and give it a try
3. Out of your comfort zone - culture is different better to try new things and go along with the flow
4. Shopping - Department stores are crazy you will get swarmed.
5. Food - the food in the Philippines is legit the best. Highlights for me with the grilled foods.
