Just before I head off to the Isle of Skye to run my next Workshop, I decided to head to Anglesey in North Wales for 3 days for a little self-indulgent Landscape Photography.

This is only my second time visiting Anglesey. It's a Landscape Photographers paradise! It turned out, this trip would be like no other!

The first day went just as expected. I visited South Stack Lighthouse which was mind-blowingly awesome! I guess I just have a soft spot for Lighthouses, but this has to be up there in my top 2 favourite Lighthouses. Neist Point on the Isle of Skye still tops the chart, but only just.

Day 2 was a little different. I was planning where to visit for the day when somebody working at the Campsite suggested I visit Holyhead Marina. Strange suggestion for a Landscape Photographer but the suggestion wasn't for Landscapes, it was just so I could witness the aftermath of Storm Emma! The annoying thing is that I felt the suggestion was more tongue-in-cheek than it was a creative suggestion. Go and see the million pound boats that have sunk. This must be humorous to some people I'm guessing!

I factored time in to visit the marina but I soon discovered it was anything but funny.

I had to film what I saw, I just felt I had to. It was really sad. Just as described there they were. Ridiculously expensive boats, sunk, partially sunk or just lying there damaged and hurting. It was a sight that will live with me forever. Watch the film, if it doesn't pull at your heartstrings, you're made of stone!

Carrying on I photographed a bell in the sea followed by yet another Lighthouse, Penmon. Again, WOW
