PART 3/5: MICROGRID IN ISLAND OPERATION MODE

A Microgrid operates in Island mode when it is disconnected from the main power grid. This allows the generator to be better matched to the requirements of complex loads. Changes to the load translate into changes of the active and reactive power that must be supplied, for which the generator is responsible.

In this video, we will show you how to operate a single synchronous generator in this operating mode.
