2 Mile Long Intermodal Train With Double DPU Locomotives, 1+ Mile Long RR Bridge With Trains Passing Over The City & Heavy Loaded Coal Train At The Big Sandy Junction Railroad Tower. Norfolk Southern Railroad & CSX Trains In Kenova, West Virginia & Ashland, Kentucky are included. This video has 2 CSX trains, 3 Norfolk Southern trains and a power move, at least thats the rumour.
All of these trains were filmed in close proximity to each other. All but one was filmed in Kenova, West Virginia. It was filmed in nearby Catlettsburg, Kentucky. This is Part 2. What did you think of the 2 DPUs mid train in the intermodal that was going over the bridge? Do you see many intermodal trains with double DPU power? The bridge was finished in 1913 and is 85 tall and 6,150 feet long.
Look how heavy the coal train was in Catlettsburg, Kentucky as it was headed down the Big Sandy Sub to Pikeville, Kentucky and points beyond. That train sat most of the day waiting with its 3 locomotives sitting next to the Catlettsburg train station. They also have a caboose at the station and I recommend checking both out. You might get lucky and see a train passing the station.
