Great Dixter has an exuberant garden renowned for bold and innovative use of colour and texture. We take inspiration from the glorious planting to absorb ideas for using red for maximum impact without overwhelming the senses or surrounding planting; how to swathe a space in bright golden tones for treasure-chest glory that still allows other flowers their moment to shine; and how to fill a space with green foliage for a bold, textured and unexpected scene.

Great Dixter was the family home of the hugely influential and talented gardener and writer Christopher Lloyd (1921 - 2006) and continues to thrive and innovate under the stewardship of renowned head gardener and educator Fergus Garrett.
