Classic LEYLAND trucks (1930s-1980s)

Leyland trucks (plus several PSVs) make up this classic lorry compilation, from the pre-war gems of the 1930s right through to the 1980s. Models such as the Leyland Comet, Cub, Clydesdale and the Beaver, were produced for many years in various forms, the Comet in particular featuring strongly in this collection.
There have been numerous videos here on OCC looking at classic lorries over the last few years, and several focusing specifically on certain makes of truck - eg Foden, ERF and Albion, so it seemed appropriate to do a collection featuring just Leylands.
Do you remember driving any of the vehicles shown? Perhaps the impressive Leyland Octopus, or maybe the distinctive BMC/Leyland FG series with what was known as the "thruppenny bit" cab? In the 1970s there was an abandoned FG not far from where we lived, and I'd regularly cycle over and sit in it, amongst broken glass and discarded beer cans, pretending to be a long-distance trucker. Perhaps that's why I like all these old vehicles now? Hmmmm....
