The flight leg of my European adventure - On-board TCX1142 from London Gatwick to Skiathos, Greece on Wednesday, 9th July 2014. PLEASE READ:

In February 2014, along with two other aviation enthusiasts, we decided to book a trip to the famous Skiathos - where insane landings & departures meant this was the best spotting place in Europe. Excited was an understatement!.

We left a cloudy & warm London Gatwick at 08:45, pushing back a few minutes behind schedule - departing from 26L after a short taxi from stand. Once airborne we made a left turn, climbed to 37,000 feet & left the UK behind before heading over France, Switzerland, Italy & Croatia before descending and landing at a beautiful Skiathos on schedule. It was a very smooth flight across Europe, with little turbulence & clear blue skies for the journey.

It was a brilliant flight on Thomas Cook - make sure you turn that volume up for that landing in Skiathos! #avgeek
