Sand Patch - Albany - Western Australia

This small beach is so named because it is a very small patch of sand along what is otherwise about 10 kilometres of cliffs.

There is a steep staircase leading down to the water from the carpark at the top of the cliff.

You will see the huge turbines of the Albany wind farm along the cliffs here.

There is a walk in hut for hikers called Sand Patch Hut. The current hut was opened in 2019 after the previous one was destroyed in a bushfire.

This is on the Bibbulmun Track.
