Описание к видео Contra III (3) (1994) | Wranker 4K Gameboy Real Hardware Playthrough | Retrotink 4K

Full playthrough of Contra III: The Alien Wars, released in 1994 for the Nintendo Gameboy, played on the SNES using the Super Gameboy 2. Developed by Factor5 and published my Konami, Contra III for the Gameboy was a port of the SNES title 2 years after the initial release of that version.

This iteration stays remarkably faithful to is 16-bit namesake, keeping most the levels intact, with only some minor changes to accommodate the low powered hardware. The gameplay is a lot slower and the player can only hold one weapon, nevertheless, it was quite the achievement. I played this on the "normal" difficulty, as the Gameboy is not a fun platform for tight frantic gameplay, and this version, unlike the SNES, gives the proper ending, no matter the difficulty.

I'm really enjoying the Contra series, so expect to see other titles from the main line and spin offs on the channel.

I use this channel to upload my gameplay footage used in my retrospectives. If you are interested in lengthy, in-depth reviews of retro games, check out my main channel ‪@TheCriticalWranker‬

******* Notes on this Video *******
This playthrough was captured on real hardware. I finally received my RetroTink 4K from the states and used it in this video. It scales the game in a perfect integer aspect ratio, and I highly recommend it to retro game enthusiasts.

The gameplay was recorded in 4K, using the M.2 Avermedia 4K Live Gamer capture card, again, another great bit of equipment, and better than anything I have tried from Elgato.

I upload these playthroughs, mainly for real hardware footage preservation, which is why I use no watermarks or overlays and record the footage in integer scaled 4:3. Feel free to use it as you wish, all I ask, is you don't just reupload it in full. Credit to my main channel would be greatly appreciated, but not required. Youtube, obviously bit-crushes video and audio while compressing, so if you want the raw footage of this video, contact me.
