F-14 Fleet Defender • Korea: Return to the ROK / M8: Full Up Round

The sh*t has hit the proverbial fan. The Chinese have launched full scale raid on our battle group from the west. From the north it seems that there are still remaining NK's MIGs lurking around. A-6s and F/A-18s are being launched to attack Chineese fleet. So our task is to make sure attackers can do their jobs as well as assure we all have a home to get back to.

Past mission note: we achieved both objectives: at least 6 strikers complete their mission and carrier alive, but there was additional one not mentioned in the briefing - at least 6 strikers make it back alive. Tough - unfortunately we continue on the defensive path.

On another sad note - I almost was awarded the Medal Of Honor - to get it you need 7000 points in a mission, my score was 6780...

Also, if you're wondering why my wingman's lastname is "78" - well that's a mystery. Pilot's firstname, callsign and lastname is selected randomly from .txt files inside "NAMES" directory - on first line is a numerical value (number of entries) followed by string values, and there's no "78" entry in lastname.txt file. It must be a bug in the code, weirdly it wasn't cought throughout all of the game versions.
