Fireball XL5 Sabotage

Presenting Fireball XL5 "Sabotage". While Fireball XL5 journeys home after patrolling Sector 25, an onboard explosion knocks out the Space Gyro System, disabling the craft. Adrift and needing repair, Fireball is attacked by an Archon ship that uses a gamma ray to paralyze Steve Zodiac, Dr. Venus, Professor Matic & Robert the Robot. Incapacitated, they are captured and flown to planet Electra where the Archon leader reveals his strategy for invading Earth. Remote-controlled bombs have been hidden aboard the entire World Space Patrol fleet. The Archons plan to destroy most of the XL ships and use what remains as transports for the invasion. Can Steve and his valiant crew stop the evil Archons? This is a color animated remake of the UK children’s show Fireball XL5, created by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson, which featured marionettes. Produced by AP Films and distributed by ITC Entertainment, it appeared on US television from 1963-1965 on NBC. Voices, sound effects and music are from the original TV broadcast. There are slight alterations for creative license.
