Wending is unhappy that Daxi impersonated him to confess his love for Ouyang Xuan. Daxi is furious when he finds out that Wending rejected Ouyang Xuan and the two have a big quarrel. Daxi reminds Wending that he is only an illegitimate son and shouldn't meddle too much. This causes Wending to walk away in grieve after hearing those words.
文鼎不满大喜冒充他的名义向欧阳璇表白，大喜知道文鼎拒绝了欧阳璇后，却痛骂文鼎，两人吵了起来。大喜提醒文鼎，说他只是一个私生子，不要管那么多事。文鼎听了难堪又难过，两人不欢而散。
