Game was played on cartridge using the Gameboy Player and a blacklight.

Some new (?) strats are used in this run. I use different weapons which will get a bit more damage out on Sword and Spear with the SP effects than the Gram or Gungnir (+10 Attack each w/ Solar Sword and Sword of Darkness SP effects when at 10 Sun and at night, and +11 with the Heavy Axe's effect, which could technically get up to +12). As noted in the above video as well, Pitch Black Armor will grant up to +20 extra Attack which scales linearly with your Life (higher % Life, the better). I also use the Earthly Robe to extend the use of the Bearnut and other healing items. Loss of the attack boost of the Pitch Black Armor is not as impactful here due to boss cycles.

The main improvement comes from the use of The Tower card (with Bearnut to endure the damage to Django) to 1-cycle Vampire and take down Durathror quickly as well. The Tower deals 8*LVL of piercing damage to all enemies on screen. The piercing effect is incredibly powerful, especially with multiple hitboxes. Use of the Heavy Axe with random defense piercing effect is meant to cut down on the pause time for The Tower uses in Vampire, but it only has a 10% chance to proc, and I only got one in this attempt.

Time could certainly go lower, especially with more random defense drop procs.
