Worst snow experience in Manang | We got stuck in a snow storm | Pisang

Day 2 in Manang, we knew there was 100% chance of rain and we were really excited for the snow. We woke up early and as we were getting ready for the day it started snowing, you could see the excitement on our faces in the vlog. We took pictures, played basketball and ate our breakfast while watching the snow get heavier.

We planned on driving to Pisang but had zero experience driving in the snow so we hired a bolero from our hotel and drove to Pisang. The road was intense and so was the snow. We started panicking and decided to head back to besisahar, if possible. We left Bhratang around 2 and were stuck in the snow for hours, trying to shovel the snow and make way for the jeep. We slipped and shovelled and dug and walked and slipped our way to Chame by 7pm. There was no cellphone network and the next village was faaar, thankyou Farmhouse for sending help (though they thought our jeep had slipped and fell from the cliff 🥲) Thankyou for saving us from the storm.

We reached Chame soaking wet and tired, next day the snow had melted and formed ice which was even worse but this time we had experience and made it through the rough snowy terrains like a champ and as a team. In the next 12hrs we reached Ktm.

Moral of the story: Hire a Bolero and a driver to take you to Manang and never plan a trip when it's snowing, unless you have weeks to spare and wait for the snow to melt to return back. Definitely don't do what we did. 😅
