Lake Windamere-Early Spring Golden Perch

Early Spring Goldens can be a finicky creature, highly responsive to the weather conditions these football shaped fish only maintain their grand size in one way and that is to feed and feed up big. During the depths of winter their desire to feed is somewhat diminished but as the season turns these fish turn on. Early spring is my favourite time to chase them, the bite changes so much and those that adapt with the change will find the greatest success, thats exactly what we had to do on this trip and it paid off big. Australias premier Golden Perch fishery is at 100% capacity and its so good to see both the lake and the countryside looking so grand.
