Not only is his father Anthony Perkins (the actor who played Norman Bates in Psycho), but his films, including The Blackcoat’s Daughter and I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, consistently evoke terror through a meticulous control of atmosphere. His latest offering, Longlegs, a supernatural thriller and gritty police procedural follows this pattern.
