ALIEN: ROMULUS - A Pretty & Thrilling Imperfect Organism

Описание к видео ALIEN: ROMULUS - A Pretty & Thrilling Imperfect Organism

Following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, "Alien: Romulus" arrived with the challenge of living up to its predecessors while aligning with a new corporate vision of scrapping originality in favour of nostalgia.

The original "Alien" film is celebrated for its simplicity, essentially a haunted house narrative set in space. When at its best, Romulus understands and seeks to replicate this formula, creating an environment where the audience feels the claustrophobia and dread with the characters trapped on a spaceship.

In an effort to encapsulate what fans cherish about the earlier films, Álvarez attempts to blend the horror-driven, claustrophobic atmosphere of "Alien" with the action-oriented "Aliens," with nods to almost every other film in the franchise. The result is a film divided much like its setting, the twin stations Romulus and Remus, combining elements of a haunted house in space with a horror-action narrative.
