TMJ pain and tension are so common! I spend time every day with patients working out tension in the jaw, and teaching folks how to self-manage and self-treat. Here is my take on self-massage of the jaw and TMJ.

So many TMJ issues are related to stress and anxiety. Many more are related to trauma and sometimes dental work or orthodontia can create these problems inadvertently.
