這首詩歌是山地牧師周裕豐（1937 - 1999）在牧養大禮教會時所作。大禮地處山巓，風景如畫，優美安靜，與神特別親近，他在此情此景中感懷而寫成此詩歌。

當我在黑暗痛苦絕望中，有一曙光明照在我心；
When I am in darkness, Pain, And despair, There is a Light that shines in my heart;
祂是那稱為奇妙的救主，捨棄天上榮華為我降生。
He is called the Wonderful Saviour, Who surrendered His Heavenly Glory for me.

祂又為我被釘在十字架，情願受苦洗淨我的罪；
He was also nailed to the Cross for me, Willing to suffer and atone my sins;
我要唱：「奇妙主，哈利路亞！」從今後永不會再絕望。
I will sing: “Wonderful LORD, Hallelujah!” Henceforth, Never again be in despair.

祂仁慈善良的愛，領我衝破狂風巨浪；
His Love is kind and merciful, Leading me to break through stormy seas;
主如一顆明亮的晨星，帶給我無限的希望。
The LORD is like a Bright and Morning Star, Bringing me Infinite Hope.

救主耶穌基督被接升天，祂去原為我預備地方；
Jesus Christ, The Saviour, Ascended to Heaven, Up there preparing a Place for me;
就必再來接我到祂父家，永遠與主同在到千萬年。
Then, He will return and take me to His Father’s House, To be with Him eternally.

到那時再沒有痛苦悲傷，只有甜美快樂的笑容；
Then, There will be no more pain and sorrow, Only sweet and joyful smiles;
眾聖徒同集在明亮聖城，滿心歌頌讚美主大恩。
All Saints will gather in the Bright Holy City, Praising the LORD’s Grace wholeheartedly.

祂仁慈善良的愛，領我衝破狂風巨浪；
His Love is kind and merciful, Leading me to break through stormy seas;
主如一顆明亮的晨星，帶給我無限的希望。
The LORD is like a Bright and Morning Star, Bringing me Infinite Hope.
