Is Flores better than Bali? An intrepid Overland Adventure: Labuan Bajo to Ruteng

There is more to Indonesia than Bali! Let’s explore the incredible Island of Flores in the eastern reaches of Indonesia, as we embark on a 6-day 5-night overland adventure – and then you can decide!

Our guide and driver has organized a personal package for us, so we take in the best of the white sand beaches, traditional villages and intensely dramatic volcanos as we explore this patchwork of rice paddies, oceans and mountains that is as colorful as its people.

This first day we depart from Labuan Bajo, and drive the misty mountain passes inland, past colorful houses teetering on the edge of rocky precipices, and dive into a waterfall carving its way through sculptured cliffs. Come enjoy the sights and sounds of rural Indonesia with us as we make our way to our first stop of this overland adventure – the small town of Ruteng.
