This is a VERY common question I get asked by beginner guitar players as well as students in my course, "How do I stop muting strings when playing guitar chords?" No matter how are they try they can't seem to get there guitar strings to stop muting when they are playing chords. There are many reasons for this problem and I am going to discuss from of this issues in this guitar lesson.

A big issue is that many students expect there guitar playing to move along faster than it actually takes. The process of getting your guitar strings to stop muting is totally normal and is a process that can takes months. Everyone's hands are different so the process will be unique to you and your body.
