Robin is welcomed into the Shepherds by Chrom, and the group travels through a forest to head to the capital of Ylisse, Ylisstol. The group hopes to have a night of peace before they return to the capital, however, the get the exact opposite. A great earthquake occurs, a mysterious portal-like gate opens in the sky, bloodthirsty undead monsters walk the earth, and a mysterious masked swordsman who carries the name of a legendary and heroic king appears on the scene.
