Two Aussies on The Laugavegur Trail Iceland

We took on a road trip holiday of the Iceland ring road. Before we attempted this challenge there was a famous and popular hiking trail in Iceland that needed to be addressed first before some down time.
It is a dynamic, challenging and rewarding journey that winds its way through a stark, yet colourful landscape carved by glaciers and punctuated by recent volcanoes. It is an extremely exposed trail in poor weather and high wind.
We completed this beautiful hike on the 7th to the 10th of August 2024 and had a mix of weather from sun to heavy rain showers but with little wind.
Highly recommend this trail to any hiker to experience a landscape like no other.
