As a child, she lived with grandma in Africa and later moved to New York with mother. As we mentioned above, the celebrity’s father, Robert wasn’t the best parent he could have been. He was abusive towards wife and kids as well as was a drug and alcohol addict. Once, his situation got so bad that he wanted to burn the house, where the family was living in. After that, he went to a rehab, where he was treated and now he is sober. He started visiting church and is a part-time singer.

The mother Carol did her best to raise kids in safety and well-being. She worked as an accounting clerk, a singer and a nursing assistant, trying to make as much money as she only could. She moved several times from one place to another one from an abusive spouse, but every time he managed to find them. She was and still is her daughter’s biggest fan and supporter.

Nicki has three siblings who mean the world to her.

A 4-year elder brother, Jelani was married to Jacqueline Robinson and accused of raping their stepdaughter who was just 11. The court found him guilty and he can be sentenced from 25 years to life imprisonment.

Micaiah is a younger brother, who was born in 1998. He is fond of music and plays drums. He became very popular on social media when his famous sister organized his Sweet Sixteen party.

Ming is a younger sister who looks very much alike Minaj. The two sisters don’t only share resemblance but also tight bond.
