Why I use gifs (and other visuals) in my videos ⬇️

Описание к видео Why I use gifs (and other visuals) in my videos ⬇️

If you’re familiar with my brand AT ALL, then you probably already know that I’m a huuuugeee fan of using gifs and other visual elements in all my videos...

I’ve been doing this since I launched my YouTube in 2019.

I even made my OWN GIFs.

I don’t just do it because it’s fun and part of my branding...

There are 3 HUGE reasons I use these visual elements (and you should too)… 👇

👀 They help grab ATTENTION

Studies have shown that incorporating visuals in videos grabs AND keeps attention more effectively than text only.

They make your content more interesting and stop that scroll, baby.

🤌 They help clarify MEANING

Adding in the right gifs or b-roll can help clarify the meaning of your message — making it less likely that you’ll be misunderstood
(especially when you love to use sarcasm or innuendo like me, hehe).

😭😆😜 They help convey EMOTION

Words can only describe so much…

But adding a gif of someone who is jumping with joy, cringing or rolling their eyes really helps convey emotion and humor.

SOME PEOPLE (🙄) complain that they are distracting or unprofessional…

Other people love them - me included!

I think when gifs and other visuals are done CORRECTLY, they make content so much more engaging, fun, and relatable.

Now, OF COURSE, there is such a thing as “too much” and it can be easy to go overboard.

Like all things in life, you need to find the right balance for YOU and your audience.

But when done correctly, specific gifs and visual themes can become synonymous with your branding 🤩
