ಉಪಾಸನ ಎಂದರೆ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಕುಳಿತುಕೋ ಎಂದು ಅರ್ಥ. ಭಗವಂತನ ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗಲು ಮೊದಲು ಗುರುವಿನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇರಬೇಕು, ಗುರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ದಾರಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ದೈವತ್ವ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸದ್ಗುರುಶ್ರೀಯವರು “ಸಾಧನ, ಸೇವಾ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೀತಿ” ಎಂಬ ಮೂರು ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉಪಾಸನ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ .
