Join us on a walk through Oslo, Norway on a Sunday in mid autumn. As we learned from a native Oslovian, most shops are closed on Sundays so we found that the city was extremely quiet on a Sunday morning!

This 4K virtual walking tour starts just down the street from my FAVORITE coffee shop Neongrut in the neighborhood of Tøyen (I cannot suggest this place enough; the coffee is top notch and the vibe is that perfect cozy welcoming coffee shop vibe that we all want)! The first park is the Botanisk hage which features Oslo's natural history museum in the northeast corner.

Crossing next through Sofienbergparken leads to Grünerløkka, a great neighborhood with charming streets featuring street art, quirky shops and indie boutiques, cafes, and bars.

This walk then crosses Akerselva, a river that runs through the northern part of the city. If you find yourself in Oslo, grab food at Mathallen Oslo, a fantastic food court with 30 specialty restaurants and stores. After passing Mathallen, the walk proceeds past another favorite restaurant of ours, Hrimnir Ramen located at the roundabout where Maridalsveien street meets Møllerveien.

We start making our way into the heart of Oslo as we walk up Damstredet, a picturesque cobbled street with houses built in the 1700s-1800s that are not only still standing but are lived in!

Finishing up, you will see the Nationaltheatret before ending the walk along the famous Karl Johnas Gate.

What are you favorite places in Oslo and the surrounding area! We would love to hear!
