In this unsponsored video, we will discuss the factors that will determine whether or not certain strings will fit your short scale bass (roundwounds and flatwounds). We will discuss the 'string wound length' and how it will affect your string choice. As well, I will provide some suitable string options for 30" scale top load, 30" scale string-through, 28.6" scale and Hofner Beatle-style basses. The second part of the video will describe the strings I currently use on my main short scale basses.
