Haji's Café is a deep dive into all that's good and wonderful about a visit to Bahrain. An open-air classic Arabic café in the old souk (indoor AC seating too), next to Babel Bahrain, serves up excellent local cuisine. The egg & tomato breakfast with a cup of chai kalat, a side of London soup (dal lentils) and freshly baked bread can't be beaten. They open at 5 or 6 AM. For dinner, the lamb chops are awesome, but get there early or they'll be sold out. Have a chat with Suhair, whose family owns the place. He's a great guy!
