The source of the world: Gauri is associated with the rains and is considered to be the source of the world.

The embodiment of motherhood: Gauri is considered to be the embodiment of motherhood.

The perfect wife: Gauri is considered to be a perfect wife for her husband.

The trinity of Hindu goddesses: Gauri, along with Lakshmi and Saraswati, forms the trinity of Hindu goddesses. Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth and prosperity, and Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge and learning
