Musical Letters -Bert Mooiman & Karst de Jong-

Improvisations on two piano's by Bert Mooiman (Left) and Karst de Jong (Right), in the spirit of the 19th century. Musical letters are sent back and forth, providing inspiration for the alternating improvisers. Played before an audience in the Improvisation Intensive festival at the Royal Conservatoire of Den Haag, 4th of november 2013.

Rules:
The order of keys was fixed beforehand: 12 keys, 12 letters and an epilogue (see if you can find the underlying logic of the pattern!)
The audience chose who played which instrument and who would begin (tossing a coin)
The audience suggested some thematic material to be included freely

All improvisations were played without any preparation whatsoever, purely spontaneous and inspired by the moment.
