[Unreal Engine 4.19] Experimental Material Layering Tutorial | Vertex Colors as Blends

Описание к видео [Unreal Engine 4.19] Experimental Material Layering Tutorial | Vertex Colors as Blends

With the experimental material layering features of 4.19, the workflow is much simpler than it previously was. I'll show you how to use your vertex colors as a layered masking system to designate painted areas of models to any material and how to access parameters in the new instanced material layer editor. I'm keeping all the materials to a bare minimum so you can apply this process easily to any material you are working on. Once this is created once, you can re-use "siblings" to the instance containing layer blends, and swap out materials and blends to create completely new materials using the same vertex color mask system.
