Dyepot Weekly #42 - Overdyeing Broken Violet Sock Yarn with a Jacquard Black Acid Dye Dry Rub

Описание к видео Dyepot Weekly #42 - Overdyeing Broken Violet Sock Yarn with a Jacquard Black Acid Dye Dry Rub

Rubbing dye onto dry yarn creates a wonderful random effect. I love this "dry rub" and wanted to see how well it would as an overdyeing technique. First, I dip dyed some KnitPicks stroll sock yarn http://shrsl.com/vqxy into Wilton's violet food coloring to create our signature broken violet gradient. (Affiliate Link) Next, I used some Jacquard Jet Black dye to rub onto this gradient to add a new dimension of color. Watch the video to see how this yarn came together!
