Laser Tattoo Removal - Sessions 10-12 Update

This is the final instalment in documenting my laser tattoo removal. The whole process started in August 2019, around 2.5 years in total and 12 sessions.

I'm optimistic that with another few months of fading and some light tanning it will barely stand out. I'm looking forward to not being quite so pale :-)

These sessions all cost £150-160, though session 11 was refunded. I've had comments from people up north or abroad who can get it for a fraction of the price, so if money is tight shop around.

Notes:

The first 8 sessions she didn't use cool air. She thought you're meant to laser first then use the cool air afterwards. In sessions 9-12 they used the laser and the cool air simultaneously (one in each hand). Accept the cool air, it takes the edge off.
Paracetamol exactly 2 hours before made a huge difference to the pain. I believe people metabolise paracetamol at different rates so 2 hours might not be the sweet spot for you.
Shave thoroughly. If the laser catches hair it sets it on fire.
I put a lot of focus on healthy eating but Richard (session 12) said he's lasered some of the unhealthiest people he's ever seen and it still fades, so while diet might help it's not the main factor.
If you want it done as fast as possible, space the sessions 6-8 weeks apart. If you want your money to stretch further, extend that out to 12-16 weeks. I took progress pictures in early May 2020 and again in July 2020 when my rescheduled session took place, and it almost looked like I'd had an extra session in that time. The clinics are fully aware that waiting more than 8 weeks will allow it to fade but because it's already going to be a 12-18 month process a lot of people won't want to draw it out any further.
