EDMUND FITZGERALD CREW MEMBER TELLS STORIES ABOUT HIS DAYS ON THE MIGHTY FITZ

Описание к видео EDMUND FITZGERALD CREW MEMBER TELLS STORIES ABOUT HIS DAYS ON THE MIGHTY FITZ

There are very few humans left on earth who worked and sailed on the Edmund Fitzgerald, the ill-fated Columbia Transportation freighter that sank in a horrific storm in Lake Superior November 10, 1975. Tom Walton, former Editor of the Toledo Blade, spent five months on the Fitzgerald working as a 19-year-old Porter in the summer of 1963, and recently sat down with me, the History Mystery Man, to talk about his days on the Mighty Fitz. Tom has personal connections to the Fitz, considering his Uncle Ralph (Grant) Walton went down on the ship. Tom's father Wade Walton also served as Chief Engineer on the Fitz. Join us for a fascinating journey back in time as we take you aboard the "Pride of the American Side" for a once-in-a-lifetime look at the Edmund Fitzgerald and her crew...enjoy! #HistoryMysteryMan #EdmundFitzgerald #TomWalton #GreatLakes #LakeSuperior
