How to paint a Lazy River landscape in oils

This latest landscape painting of mine features a slow gentle river in a little bit of a backwater. I developed the shadows on the water which was an interesting characteristic that gave it added interest.
The light on the central rock was the compelling element to the whole design so I hope that watching this video tempts you to use these ideas in your own work. Enjoy the video!
