Hiking at Sunrise and Sunset in NONG KHIAW! - Day 42

Location: Nong Khiaw, Laos🇱🇦

We tackled TWO hikes in gorgeous Nong Khiaw - the place to be in Laos if you love to hike!

We started the day very early at around 3:30am to start a morning hike for sunrise at the Pha Daeng Viewpoint! Here is when we got to the peak 1:45 - the views were AMAZING! You can actually camp at the top of this viewpoint too which we didn’t do but we met a German guy up there (he was the only other person up there) who had camped overnight!

Our second hike started at around 4:30pm to start our sunset hike up to the Sleeping Lady Viewpoint - another very popular hike in Nong Khiaw! This hike has TWO viewpoints, one is a lot lower down but just as beautiful, the other is much higher up! We attempted to get to the higher one but unfortunately due to conditions we stuck to the first one. Here is a time lapse of the most beautiful sunset 8:00. It was very dark, very muddy and very slippy - I unfortunately fell over about four times across both hikes!
