McCallum Band UIL Area D Finals 10/26/2019

The McCallum High School Band performed their 2019 UIL contest show at the Area D Finals competition at "The Pfield" in Pflugerville, TX. Special thanks to Hendrickson High School for hosting the Area D competition!

The Mac Band placed 1st out of 18 bands in the preliminary round and 1st out of 7 bands in the finals round of the Area competition and will advance to the state marching competition on November 4-5, 2019.

The Mac Band's contest performance, titled "Forever In Stone", is in four movements and includes selections from:

• Isle of the Dead (Rachmaninoff)
• Angels in the Architecture (Ticheli)
• You Are So Beautiful (Cocker)
• Medea/Palladio/Angels in the Architecture (Barber/Jenkins/Ticheli)

The Mac Band is led on the field by Drum Majors Jonah Brown and Dexter Canning, back field conductor is Lillie Rhodes, soloists are Joe Roddy, Madelynn Niles, Mati Currie, Reagan Welch and Jacob Martinez.

Directors for the Mac Band are Carol Nelson, Zack Travis, Matt Ehlers and Jeff Rudy.

Colorguard director is Nicolas Resendez, front ensemble technician is Reuben Rodriguez.
