Franz Kanefzky (b. 1964) has written some unique and interesting solo pieces for the horn. Präsentation und Idylle for Horn Solo (1989) is no different. With his use of timbral changes, Kanefzky creates layers of sounds between open, stopped, and muted playing.

The performance was given as part of a Faculty Recital at Valparaiso University in Duesenberg Recital Hall on October 4th, 2021.
