Children's Sermon Lesson: Genesis 3:1-15

The Fall of mankind into sin is a rather devastating story, but there’s a glimmer of hope within. Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan and disobeyed God, and as a result we are born into sin and there is evil in the world. But we know evil doesn’t win in the end! This message uses a broken item to remind us that we make mistakes and there are consequences for them, but God restores us and makes us new in Christ Jesus. Even from the beginning, God promised to send a savior who would “bruise the head” of the serpent and set things right again.

Kristin is a servant of Christ who is blessed to currently be serving as Directory of Christian Education at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield, CO. Originally a California native, Kristin has a master's in teaching from Biola University, as well as a master's in theology and a DCE certificate from Concordia Irvine. She spent several years in Georgia before being called to Colorado. She is overjoyed to be the mother of Samuel and wife of Colten, who also serves full-time at Risen Savior as Worship Director. In addition to enjoying her dream vocation, she also loves running, baking, music, history, and strong coffee.
